District Heating Road Show, Warsaw & South West part of Poland is one of the most relevant events about district heating in Poland. The major outcome of this road show is the heating/cooling knowledge and technology transfer from Denmark to Poland, contributing to the Danish export increase in the district heating market.

On April 1, the Danish Embassy organized a seminar presenting Danish experience in the field of construction of energy-efficient district heating. About 30 people took part, including an expert of the Mazovia Energy Agency (MAE), who informed the audience about the RELaTED Project.
Krzysztof Arnold gave information in the field of low-temperature solutions and “open systems”. The expert also explained the possibility of financing the modernization of heating systems in Mazovia from a low-percentage loan with 1-year holidays in repayment and partly discontinued after the undertaking was carried out in accordance with the assumptions.
This seminar was part of the District Heating Road Show, Warsaw & South West part of Poland, and took place in Warszawa with participation of representatives from the Ministry of Energy and the National Fund for Environmental Protection. Further the participants of the seminar in Warsaw were district heating companies from Poland and Denmark, Polish heating support organizations and representatives of the National Environment Protection Fund.
Poland is one of the EU leaders in terms of district heating market development. 50% of people in Poland are supplied with district heating. Approx. 76% of heat in Poland is today generated from coal, and the Polish district heating sector needs investments in order to modernize the existing installations and change the fuel mix.
